We are delighted to announce from 1st March 2016 Insurance For Holiday Homes has become part of the A-Plan Insurance Group.
How it all began…
In 2002 after experiencing difficulties in obtaining suitable insurance for a holiday home we set up Insurance for Holiday homes specifically aimed at UK citizens with holiday homes in the UK and Europe. A unique policy was developed which was written in plain English, offered excellent cover and had the total security of being underwritten by Lloyd’s. In addition to provide peace of mind for our customers we arranged for all claims to be handled in the UK backed up by an extensive network of loss adjusters and trades people.
Insurance for Holiday Homes has grown into a major player in the holiday home insurance market. This has been achieved not only by offering competitive rates and first class policy cover but most importantly by providing excellent customer service. We do not operate a call centre so when a customer calls us they will immediately speak to an experienced advisor – no music, no queuing and the opportunity to speak to the same person whenever they call. This may sound a little old fashioned but we believe that this is the service people appreciate.
And where we are today…
As an approved Coverholder at Lloyd’s we not only underwrite all business on their behalf but also control the issue of all policy documents. Claims are handled by a dedicated team of claims handlers based in the Midlands. A complete service of which we are proud and which our customers clearly appreciate with a substantial number having been with us for many years and some from the very beginning.

Making a complaint
We work hard to provide our clients with a first class service. If you are not happy with any aspect of the service you have received, we would like to know and will do all we can to resolve the situation. In the first instance, please contact your local Branch Manager, who will try to resolve matters for you or you can email us on email@example.com.
We act on behalf of insurance companies or Lloyd’s syndicates: the complaint procedure that will apply depends on whose behalf we act. To identify which procedure applies to you, please refer to your policy wording. If you have any doubt on which procedure applies to you, we will be happy to help.
